Polishing &
Waxing
Restore the Shine, Protect the Finish"
Why Wax & Polish?
-
Restores Shine & Gloss – Eliminates oxidation, swirl marks, and dullness, bringing back the original luster of your boat or yacht.
-
Protects Against Harsh Elements – Shields the surface from UV rays, saltwater corrosion, and environmental contaminants, extending the lifespan of your vessel’s finish.
-
Enhances Smoothness & Hydrophobicity – Creates a slick, water-repellent surface that reduces drag, improves fuel efficiency, and makes future cleaning easier.
Our Process
-
Initial Inspection – We begin with a thorough assessment of the boat’s exterior to identify oxidation, water spots, scratches, and other imperfections.
-
Deep Cleaning & Surface Preparation – The entire body is washed using marine-safe cleaning agents to remove dirt, salt deposits, and grime. A decontamination process follows, where iron removers and degreasers eliminate embedded contaminants.
-
Clay Bar Treatment – A clay bar is used to lift any remaining impurities from the surface, ensuring a smooth and clean finish for optimal polish adhesion.
-
Compounding & Polishing –
-
For heavily oxidized surfaces: A cutting compound is applied to remove deep oxidation, stains, and minor scratches. This step restores the original color and clarity of the gel coat or paint.
-
For mildly oxidized surfaces: A medium-cut polish is used to refine and bring out the gloss, removing lighter imperfections.
-
Final Finishing Polish: A high-quality finishing polish enhances shine and smoothness, bringing back a deep, mirror-like finish.
-
-
Waxing & Sealant Application – A premium marine-grade wax or sealant is applied to protect the surface from UV rays, saltwater corrosion, and oxidation. This step locks in the shine and creates a hydrophobic layer for easy maintenance.
-
Final Inspection & Touch-ups – After the polishing and waxing process, a final inspection ensures every part of the surface is perfected. We address any missed spots and provide additional touch-ups.
